Isurance Classification Rating Lowered!
Sunday, May 22, 2011
-
In September, 2010 the Community Fire Department along with the East Gaston Fire Department underwent a Department of Insurance (ISO) rating inspection. After many months of calculations done by the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Community Fire Department was informed that it had received a Classification rating of 5 which was a dramatic lowering from the previous rating of 9e.
Q: What does that mean for the citizens of the Community and East Gaston fire districts?
A: The completion of this inspection means that the citizens of both respective fire districts can receive a lower home owner’s fire insurance premium! As a home owner all you have to do is contact your respective insurance companies and request that they lower your insurance premium. Be sure to advise your insurance provider that the Community Fire Departments insurance rating was lowered to a Class 5 Rating.
If you have any questions regarding the lowering of the classification please do not hesitate to call the Station at (704) 827-8249 Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Community Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of its district for all of their years of unwavering support!
